Grounded Nomad Co. creates privately curated journeys for people who want to experience Bali beyond a standard itinerary.
We begin with your interests, expectations, travel style and preferred pace, bringing together experiences across local culture, nature, art, food, wellbeing and inner exploration.
Some journeys are quiet and restorative.
Others are more active, curious and exploratory.
Some naturally become deeper and more transformative along the way.
What connects them is not a particular type of activity, but the intention to experience Bali with greater depth, context and connection.
While our journeys can extend across Bali, Ubud and its surroundings are at the heart of much of what we do.
For centuries, Ubud has been associated with healing, art and culture. Its name is commonly connected to the Balinese word ubad, meaning “medicine.” Today, traditional Balinese culture exists alongside an international community of artists, chefs, designers, musicians, teachers, healers and other creative practitioners.
Grounded Nomad Co. journeys draw on the relationships we have built here over the years, local knowledge and our own experience. This allows us to bring together not only places, but also people and experiences we know and trust.
Rather than filling every day from beginning to end, we create a well-considered program with enough space to experience Bali at your own pace.
1 — Getting to Know You
Complete the Personal Journey Form or contact us on WhatsApp to get started.
It helps us understand your travel dates, interests, preferred pace, accommodation preferences and what you are looking for from your time in Bali.
2 — Defining Your Journey
Based on our conversation, we define the length of your journey, number of guests and the level of planning and coordination required.
Our service fee starts from USD 300 and varies according to the length of the journey, number of guests and scope of the program.
The service fee covers journey design and coordination. Accommodation, transportation, experiences and other travel expenses are charged separately.
3 — Confirmation & Payment
Once the scope and service fee are confirmed, payment is made. Research, planning and reservation work begins after the service fee has been received.
4 —Shaping It Together
We prepare a selection of experiences, places and people based on your interests and preferences. We review the options together and shape the main elements of your journey around your choices.
5 — Finalising Your Program
We check availability, arrange appointments and reservations, and build the daily flow. Where availability requires changes, we work through the alternatives and adjust the program accordingly.
Once the program is taking shape, we also prepare a clear overview of what needs to be paid in advance and what can be paid directly in Bali.
Every journey is different, and the overall cost depends on the experiences you choose and the pace of your program.
As a general reference, allow approximately USD 200–400 per person, per day, excluding accommodation and including experiences, private sessions, transportation and food.
Payments can be made via Wise or credit card.
Credit card payments are subject to an additional 5% processing fee.
If you would like someone with you throughout your journey — or simply on selected days — a Grounded Nomad Co. Group Leader can accompany you.
Your Group Leader shares insight into Balinese culture, everyday life and traditions, answers your questions, helps you navigate and reach the places in your program, and facilitates communication with local people. They also assist with day-to-day coordination — essentially acting as your host in Bali.
Group Leader — IDR 2,000,000 / day (up to 8 hours)
A Group Leader is not a licensed tour guide. A licensed local guide can be arranged when professional historical or cultural guiding is required.
Private Driver
Half Day (up to 4 hours) — IDR 450,000
Full Day (up to 8 hours) — IDR 650,000
Airport transfers and longer routes available upon request. Fuel is included.
Scooter Rental
Available for independent travelers. Pricing varies depending on scooter model and rental duration.
Licensed Local Tour Guide
Explore Bali with an officially licensed local tour guide who provides cultural, historical and local context throughout your journey.
