Living and working on the island has shaped the way we see travel.
Bali is not simply a setting for what we create. Its people, traditions, communities, and relationship with the seen and unseen are part of what continues to teach and inspire us.

Why Grounded Nomad Co.?
To us, being a nomad is not about constantly moving. It is about being in search, curious enough to leave what is familiar and follow a path without always knowing where it will lead.
Being grounded is about having roots. Not necessarily in one place, but within yourself.
Always in search, yet rooted within.
It is an idea that feels close to where we come from. In Anatolia, the dervish has carried a similar paradox for centuries: a traveller whose deeper journey is inward. Joseph Campbell found the same ancient pattern in stories across cultures. We leave the familiar, answer a call, cross into the unknown, and return seeing something differently.
Our own journey took us from Anatolia to Bali, where we fell in love with a very different Eastern culture and, unexpectedly, found echoes of things we already knew.
Somewhere along that journey, Grounded Nomad Co. was born.
We are still in the middle of it. We do not know exactly where it will lead, but we know that following it has brought us somewhere that feels right.
And perhaps that is why the journeys we create for others feel so personal to us. They begin with the same invitation: to step outside the familiar, follow your curiosity, and see what you may find in another place, and perhaps in yourself.

With two decades of experience in cultural production and wellness facilitation, Aslı has dedicated her life to creating spaces that unite transformation and tradition. Her move from Istanbul to Bali reflects a deep love for connection, storytelling, and conscious living.
Nevzat Umut Yaran
After a corporate career, Umut turned his passion for travel and spaces into meaningful hospitality shaping places that feel both authentic and home-like. His vision brings comfort, creativity, and sustainability together on the island.
Local Host & On Site Coordinator
Putu Tugas
Putu is our local host and on-site coordinator in Ubud.
With more than 10 years of experience hosting groups across Bali, he oversees the day-to-day flow of our journeys — from transportation and schedules to local arrangements and on-the-ground coordination.
Working closely with our team and local partners, Putu ensures that each experience runs smoothly, allowing guests to relax and fully engage with the journey while the details are taken care of.
